Vikram Mahurkar - Managing Director
A Commerce graduate, he started his career in 1980 with Apollo Tyres Ltd, as Sales trainee and continued to work before he resigned as a Assistant Sales Manager for successful 5 years for the territory of Gujarat.
Vikram branched out on his own in 1985 to achieve greater success and floated two companies “CHECKMATE DETECTIVE AGENCY” and CHECKMATE SERVICES PVT LTD” to provide guarding services to Corporates, Industrial Houses, Residential Area, Airports, Refineries etc.
His commitment backed by sheer professionalism has enabled Checkmate Group to achieve greater success as a leading multinational security service provider coupled with exemplary growth in terms of revenue and value proposition.
He initiated the Industrial security training concept, survey & audits for Training and improvisation of security & safety aspects for Industries and Corporate house, which gives an edge to the core services and client satisfaction index.

Maj Gen A D Nargolwala VSM (Retd) - Group CEO
Retired from Army in 2002, after a glorious career spanning 37 years, starting with commission in the Corps of Engineers, commanded brigade and division in eastern & western sectors, involving management and operation responsibility of over 15,000 officer & soldiers.
Later he handled many diplomatic assignments as Defence Advisor in Embassy of India- Tehran, Iran and held prestigious appointments including Defence Service Staff College where many officers from foreign countries are trained.
Deeply Involved in J&K and Punjab as Chief of Staff, in civil –military action and operations for development of backward areas.
He joined in April 2003 as CEO of Checkmate group of companies. The day-to-day running of Checkmate Group is delegated to the CEO. The CEO is assisted in his decision making by Checkmate’s executive members, the most senior leadership team. Each member of this team represents the key components of our business - our markets, our services, client servicing functions.
His rich and varied experience coupled with strategic operations experience has improved the focus on the operations of the group and overall functions. |

Major General CD Sawant - AVSM, SM (Retd) - CEO
Checkmate Facilities & Electronic Solutions Pvt Ltd
Major General CD Sawant was commissioned in one of the most decorated and oldest Infantry Regiments of the Indian Army, The Maratha Light Infantry. He has been decorated with 5 awards including Sena Medal for gallantry and Ati Vishisht Seva Medal for leadership and acumen from The President of India.
A seasoned professional with over 37 years of extensive experience with the Indian Army. A strategist and dynamic go getter with expertise in managing entire operations & ensuring optimal utilization of resources. Experienced in handling operations entailing planning, budgeting & resource deployment. Significant expertise in managing a wide spectrum of human resource management functions entailing recruitment, training & development, performance appraisals, maintaining employee relations with a view to secure a sound work culture.
He has been appointed as CEO of Checkmate Facility & Electronic Solutions Pvt Ltd with effect from 01 Nov 2008. |

Prithvipalsingh Jagtap - AVP - Business Development
Jagtap is a seasoned professional with keen business sense, quick learning and an uncanny ability in negotiation with clients, is responsible for managing pan India business development and client servicing, providing vital feedback to the management.
He is working with Checkmate since 16 years and has worked his position from Marketing Manager. Jagtap is a avid golf player and holds unique record of two hole in one at hole # 17 & 6. |

Lt. Col. Sunil Pathania (Retd) - AVP (Banking & IT)
Sunil joined Checkmate in 2000 after retiring from Indian Army, He is responsible for function in the business segments of Banks, Finance & Insurance Companies, involving operations of Cash & Bullion Management, ATMs and housekeeping management services, apart from managing functions the IT Department of the Checkmate Group.
He is a Science graduate from National Defence Academy, while his penchant for knowledge also earned him MBA in Finance. He is also a Sun certified Java Programmer and Certified Brain bench Linux System Administrator. |

COL. BHUPENDRA SINGH GAREWAL (Retd) Sr. GM Operations
Bobby, after retirement joined Checkmate in 2005. He is responsible for Operational audit & survey on all India basis and to ensure implementation of policy, rules, legislations, complains, compliances and procedures. Customer Care and National Operations are directly controlled by him. He is also responsible for conducting training on Industrial security, security surveys and develop specialized training syllabus & memorandums for industrial security related to specific job requirements. |

Mukesh joined Checkmate in 2005 bringing his knowledge of Master in Social Work and PG Diploma in HRD having rich and varied experience of 24 years working in different segments of the industry. He is responsible for overall functions of the human resource department and handles policies and key decisions in the Corporate, Branches and legal matters effectively. |

Director - Institute of Fire Safety & Disaster Management Studies
Brij took the mantle of Checkmate initiative of raising a world class Fire Safety & Disaster Management Institute in 1998 and has brought the Institute a name to reckon in the Indian region. He has been deeply involved in developing new courses and technicalities for bringing up the scale of fire training at various industries and civic bodies. He loves to play golf and enjoys entertaining people. |
