Introduction
The Institute of Fire, Safety & Disaster Management, was established in the year 1998 on the outskirts of Vadodara, a city steeped in culture, humanities and education.
The phenomenal progress and rapid industrialization witnessed in the past four decades, has been an exponential industrial growth in India. The handling and use of a wide range of hazardous material in large quantities, exposure to them and other high tech devices has resulted in numerous unexpected problems for society. Safety norms have been given the byword. Industrial mishaps and accidents through fire incidents are on the increase, leading to major loss of life, property worth crores of rupees including environmental problems for future generation.
Rising to the occasion, to manage the varied safety and fire disasters that were becoming a common factor in the rapidly expanding industrial growth in the country, the CHECKMATE GROUP, raised the Institute of Fire and Disaster Management. The Institute is committed to providing the highest quality training in the fields of fire fighting, crisis and disaster management, rescue, hazardous materials handling, incident command systems and train the trainer courses, for its extensive clientele. The Institute maintains a progressive environment in which the latest methods and technologies are applied to provide State of the Art training, focused on developing individual competencies through the application of team based learning environment. The Institute uses actual extinguishing agents to put out real fires. |
